Dr. Stephens believes in the power of leading-edge technology, science and medicine.

For example, he is an early adopter of innovative and life-changing procedures such as SphenoCath, a minimally invasive solution for migraine sufferers, and TenJet, a minimally-invasive procedure for tendon pain and injuries.

Education & Experience

Dr. Stephens is Board Certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. He earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Sports Medicine. The CAQ is designed to recognize excellence among those Diplomates whose practices emphasize expertise in the Sports Medicine field.

After earning his medical degree from Des Moines University, Dr. Stephens completed an internship and residency in family medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.

He was an inaugural member of the first sports medicine fellowship at the same institution where he learned primary care orthopedics, sports medicine and basic pain management skills. He then joined a large multispecialty orthopedic group in Indiana, where he gained valuable hands-on experience.

Dr. Stephens returned to Texas to participate in an advanced pain fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital. In 2014, he joined Noble Pain Management and Sports Medicine and is now President.

A seasoned speaker at national and international healthcare and educational conferences on innovative concussion and migraine management, Dr. Stephens has provided expert opinions on numerous radio and TV stations throughout the country. He is a regular Fox News contributor.


He generously volunteers his time, knowledge and expertise through frequent medical mission trips to Nicaragua and Africa. He has been the team doctor at Liberty Christian in Argyle, Texas for 8 of the last 10 years.

Dr. Stephens values spending time with his wife and four children, and he enjoys all sports and working out.
